FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

– Do I need permissions to install a Yurt?

No permits are required for the installation of one or more yurts. Judgment 189/2015 of the Constitutional Court ruled that the installation of light artefacts, even prefabricated, and structures of any kind, such as caravans, campers, mobile homes, boats, used as dwellings, work environments, or as depots, warehouses and the like installed with temporary anchoring to the ground are not subject to building permits.

-Is the Yurt floor included in the price?

For logistical reasons, Yurt Italy does not provide the floor for the yurt. The floor of the yurt can be in wood or cement, at the discretion of the customer. For an economical but valid solution, we recommend going to any DIY store (Leroy Merlin etc.), where it will be possible to buy low-cost wooden pallets to build the floor or rely on a trusted carpenter. It will be our pleasure to indicate to the Customer the necessary dimensions of the floor basis for the yurt purchased.

– What kind of maintenance does a yurt require?

Our yurts do not need special maintenance as the sheets that make up the cover are waterproof and subjected to anti-wear treatments, while bamboo in the interior is subjected to special fumigation treatments. It is recommended to wash the outer cover at least 1-2 times a month (or more frequently if the yurt is found near trees or various vegetation).

-How long can I receive my yurt?

The average delivery time is about 50-60 days from the payment of the deposit.

-How long does a yurt last? Is it suitable for mountain / hill / sea?

Our yurts have an average longevity of about 15-20 years, obviously if treated with care and respect. Our Yurts are designed to withstand any type of weather and weather conditions, being designed for places where temperatures range from -30 degrees to +45. They also have a 200 kg weight resistance and wind resistance up to grade 9 on the Beaufort scale.
